CLIR: withhold your number Calling Line Identification Restriction (CLIR) allows you to surpress the sending of your telephone number to other subscribers who have CLIP enabled.

  • CLIR may be temporarily activated on a per call basis by dialing code # 31 # in front of the number you are calling. Your number will then be withheld throughout the next call. For the following call, the other party will see your number, unless you dial code # 31 # again before the number.
  • CLIR may be permanently activated, so that no correspondent ever sees your number, by calling Customer Service or by simply activating the CLIR function in our customer service portal.
